- Estimated span usage is now available as a labeled metric
- You can now "Snooze" issue notifications
- Improved Alert Email Content for Query Monitoring
Estimated span usage is now available as a labeled metric
Estimated span usage for traces sent to Mackerel is now automatically posted as a labeled metric.
Previously, you could only check the total daily span count via the Usage tab. Now, because these metrics are measured every minute, you can monitor your span usage in real-time. Since these metrics include attributes like service and environment, they’re perfect for pinpointing exactly which service is generating how many spans.
To view these metrics, open the Explorer (or "Metrics" in the new sidebar) and set service.name to __mackerelio.system.

You can also use Query Monitoring to trigger alerts when usage exceeds a specific threshold, or visualize the data using Graph or Value widgets on your Custom Dashboards.

Rest assured, no metric usage fees apply to these estimated usage metrics. For more details, please check out the help page.
You can now "Snooze" issue notifications
When Slack notifications are enabled for traces, repeated issues can sometimes lead to a flood of alerts. If you need a break from these notifications, you can now temporarily pause or disable them using the new "Snooze" button at the top-right of the issue details screen.

When snoozing is active, the "Snooze" text will turn red so you can tell at a glance. You can also update or overwrite the snooze settings at any time.
Improved Alert Email Content for Query Monitoring
We've improved the format of alert emails for Query Monitoring. Previously, some parts of the email body displayed the internal attribute names instead of the actual attribute values. We have updated this to ensure the real values are displayed, making the alerts much easier to understand at a glance.
