No-Signup Demo Experience now available
For those trying Mackerel for the first time, the Demo Experience is now available that allows you to explore key features without the need for a sign-up process. While we have always offered a free trial plan, this update makes it even easier to try out Mackerel's features and interface.
Currently, only Japanese pages are available. You can access it via the "デモを体験" button in the header of the Mackerel Brand Site, or by accessing the Demo Experience Page (https://play.mackerel.io/) directly.

Mini-map added to Trace Details for improved investigation efficiency
To address the challenge of grasping the full picture when viewing trace details with a large number of spans, we have introduced a Mini-map to the trace details screen.
Since the trace flame graph is displayed as a Mini-map, you can simultaneously check your current position relative to the overall structure, even with long traces or traces containing many spans. Clicking or dragging within the Mini-map allows for quick navigation. Furthermore, it makes it easier to compare a wide range of spans and their attribute information without excessive scrolling, enabling more efficient investigations.

Selectable Metrics now available for Azure Integration
In the Azure Integration, metrics were previously collected as a fixed set for each resource type. Now, you can individually select or exclude metrics according to your needs.
By stopping the collection of unnecessary metrics, you can narrow down data to only what is essential, improving visibility. Additionally, since you can adjust the volume of metrics collected, this contributes to cost control based on metric counts.

It is also possible to configure settings in advance to automatically collect or exclude any new metrics that may be added in the future. For details, please refer to the section "Configure automatic new metrics addition" in the following help page.
APM HTTP Server and Database Statistics now available via API
Statistics for APM HTTP servers and databases can now be retrieved via the API.
This enables the integration of statistical data into external custom dashboards and reporting tools, allowing for more advanced data analysis and integrated monitoring. You can flexibly analyze and utilize application performance data using your preferred tools and custom logic, not just within the Mackerel interface.
For detailed specifications, please refer to the following API documentation.
[Notice] AWS Integration RDS Event display limited to 100 items starting early December
Starting in early December, the number of events displayed in the RDS host details of the AWS Integration will be limited to the latest 100 items.
This change is intended to prevent errors that can occur during the hourly host information update when there is a high frequency of events.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

[Notice] End of Typetalk Notification Channel support on December 1st, 2025
As previously announced, with the scheduled termination of the Typetalk service on December 1st, 2025, support for the Typetalk notification channel in Mackerel will also end on the same day. Additionally, after notifications are disabled, we will proceed with the deletion of data.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Mackerel Sponsored JJUG CCC 2025 Fall!
Mackerel participated as a booth sponsor at JJUG CCC 2025 Fall, held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Bellesalle Shinjuku Grand Conference Center.
At our booth, we conducted a survey on application troubles, distributed downloadable content for the "OpenTelemetry Instrumentation Guide for Java Web Applications" and held demos. We had the opportunity to speak with many attendees about their current monitoring situations while they experienced Mackerel.
We have published a report on the event, including the atmosphere at the booth, survey results, and the LT "Distributed Tracing in Java with OpenTelemetry" presented by Mackerel CRE
