Regarding the Revisions to Mackerel’s Privacy Policy
Mackerel has revised its Privacy Policy so that the content matches the usage of the product, with the aim of ensuring transparency in the "use" of personal data in accordance with the revised guidelines of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
Mackerel, which has heretofore complied with the Privacy Policy set forth by Hatena Co., Ltd., has consolidated the relevant provisions found throughout Hatena’s Privacy Policy and Mackerel’s Terms of Service in a single document, as Mackerel’s Privacy Policy. In the course of making these revisions, we have also obtained the TRUSTe Program certification from the General Incorporated Association Japan Privacy Accreditation Council.
These revisions are made to specify the purpose of using personal data more concretely and to clarify the content and wording of the provisions concerning the handling of our customers' personal information, in order to ensure the safe and secure use of Mackerel services.
