We are currently working on adding support for IPv6 in Mackerel. While IPv6 support will cover a wide range of areas, including access to the web console and communication with agents, we will soon be releasing IPv6 support for external monitoring as an initial release focusing on features with minimal impact.
For external monitoring rules that have already been registered, we will configure them to continue monitoring via IPv4 (You can change this later if you wish). Please rest assured that your existing external monitoring rules will continue to function as usual.
However, some of the alert messages for external monitoring are expected to change. As a result, if an external monitoring alert is still opened, you may receive a new notification regarding that alert due to the message change.
